Despite losing his eponymous primetime TV slot to serve as a co-anchor on CNN This Morning, *newsman* Don Lemon has quite a bit to say about what it means to be in one’s prime.

On Thursday, February 16, the TV personality took a break from his new, busy schedule of waking up at the ass crack of dawn and not bantering with aspiring Columbine shooter Chris Cuomo to insult pretty much every woman on the face of the planet while attempting to dunk on South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.

“This whole talk about age makes me uncomfortable,” Lemon told his colleagues while discussing the Republican 2024 presidential hopeful’s proposal for “mandatory mental competency tests for politicians over 75 years old,” a policy that would impact both President Joe Biden, 80, and former President Donald Trump, 76.

Yet it seems that Lemon couldn’t keep his apparent discomfort to himself, sharing the love with his co-anchors, Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins …. as well as every woman with access to the internet.

“She says people, you know, politicians or something are not in their prime,” Lemon quipped before stating that “Nikki Haley isn’t in her prime.” “Sorry — when a woman is considered to be in her prime in her 20s and 30s and maybe 40s.”

While Harlow verbalized the question on everyone’s mind, asking Lemon to specify about those years being a “prime for what?” he doubled down.

“Don’t shoot the messenger. I’m just saying what the facts are. Google it, everybody at home,” he quipped as the only person to apparently *overestimate* the extent of AI’s derangement in these trying times.

“I’m just saying Nikki Haley should be careful about saying that politicians are not in their prime, and they need to be in their prime when they serve,” he added. “Because she wouldn’t be in her prime, according to Google or whatever it is.”

Sparking ire from Democrats, Republicans (you know you fucked up when Fox News is calling you a sexist) and even Haley herself — “it’s always the liberals who are the most sexist,” she captioned a clip of the exchange on Twitter — Lemon ultimately apologized for his comments.

“The reference I made to a woman’s ‘prime’ this morning was inartful and irrelevant, as colleagues and loved ones have pointed out, and I regret it,” Lemon wrote on Twitter. “A woman’s age doesn't define her either personally or professionally. I have countless women in my life who prove that every day.”

Don Lemon — the one person that can bring America together in these trying times.
